Obama just gave McCain a shot. Ticket may be too liberal. Joe is well respected on Capital Hill as well as in the legal profession. However, the ticket needed some one who could steal a red state or two. Joe would have been great at the State Dept. or Attny General. I thought Sam Nunn (GA)or a southerner with militry or foriegn policy credentials would have been a better pick. Oh well. shows how much I know.

I do see where your coming from. But after the whole Hillary debacle. It seemed like the Democratic party was starting to fraction off.

I feel that by choosing Biden, that he is trying to bring the party back together. Rather than worrying about trying to appease some on the fence conservative voters.

There are people saying that they have changed their mind since this was announced...that they will vote McCain instead of Obama because he chose Biden instead of Hillary for his running mate...

Which I certainly do not understand one bit....

If anybody had that idea please explain the logic to me lol.

But remember, Joe has had a hard time with his own presidential endeavors. Only another woman would have chilled the Hillary defectors. If McCain gets aggressive and selects Rice as his VP, its over.

I don't think the choice was the best and agree with the first poster. the ticket is way too liberal and god luck now in getting those Reagan democrats. Also the NRA is a very powerful organization and many gunowners haven't forgotten about this: http://www.youtube.com/watch...

Obama still has a major chance but instead of it being almost a done deal he made McCain have a chance. I pewrsonally think he should have picked Jimm Webb of Virginia. Who has experience and also is a combat veteran. It would have negated many advantages McCain currently has.

Al Gore was the best choice, by far...

This Biden choice was only good, if you're loving watching Obama spend the past 10 months catering to White-interests and Jew-interests.

However, if you're Black?

Remember how Obama denounced Rev. Wright for exploiting White-Racism? Well, apparently Joe Biden gets embraced, for making comments like these:

--"In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian Americans, moving from India. You
cannot go to a 7/11 or a Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I'm not joking."
- July 2006

--Barack Obama is a "clean" black person.- February 2007

--One reason that so many District of Columbia schools fail is the city's high minority
population.- October 2007
