Couldn't agree more. Playing the race card, and class envy (how many houses) is nothing new. It is impossible to see where the 'change' is coming from when the Obama campaign, and Obama himself, seem tied to the past in their message. The reason Obama has fallen in the polls is because the Obama campaign is turning out to be one of the most shallow of campaigns ever. Far surpassing John Kerry’s for saying nothing. I want to hear how he is going to stimulate the economy by raising taxes, and how inflating my tires, which are already at the correct pressure, will equate to all the oil drilling possible, making it unnecessary to drill at all. I want to hear him say how taxing our oil companies by 18 billion dollars and more will bring down the cost of gas at the pump. Come on Barack, voters want substance. The issues are out there. His challenge is to convince voters that he knows what he is talking about, AND that his campaign is about all Americans and not some Americans, as divided by race and class.

I don't see how anyone could vote for Obama. His voting record in the Illinois Senate was downright creepy. Even if Obama could stand better on the issues, I would still not vote for him. His character is disgrace and he has no place in the White House.

I fully disagree that Obama has "played the race card". This was yet another specious claim from McCain's camp, which has taken the opportunity to go negative at every turn. Look at how many threads here on the subject have gone into thousands of posts-- conservatives are obsessed with this topic, and intent on demonizing Obama and his wife unfairly. And McCain's house issue is simply "class envy"?? Never mind that he's been painting Obama as "elitist" as he (McCain) continues to support major tax breaks for only the wealthiest Americans. Never mind his (former) chief financial advisor saying America was NOT in recession and that tough times were due simply to 'whiney Americans'. Let's stay focused on the fact that most of you blue and white collar Republicans really think McCain is just a regular ol' Patriot, who's concerned about your finances. But his administration will not bring jobs to you. His tax cuts won't reach you. He thinks you have to make $5MILLION or more a year to be considered 'wealthy'. And he has to 'check with his staff' to find out how many homes he has. Does that sound like a normal, down to earth guy? Not to me it doesn't.

Obama not having a huge lead in polls is NOT a negative...but a POSITIVE. In a racist society , where 45% of the populace predicted he didn't have a chance-in-hell of raising the money to campaign. followed by 41% who said he can't win in IOWA, then 39% saying theres NO WAY ON EARTH he'll beat Edwards, much less Hillary. For a candidate w/ a paternal Black (lineage) family line to have 40%+ in a natione where Blacks are but 12.5% of the population IS IMPRESSIVE! A WHITE candidate w/Obamas identical style-record-stance-experience -friends etc. WOULD have a huge lead! That said, I wont vote for him but give the guy credit he had WORSE Odds to overcome than did Ivy league Crackers!

Do they really let that jelly-back useless negro writing things in papers still? It seems he's an actor in more ways than one. It's a shame that he just couldn't get back into the spotlight through acting, so he has to say completely rediculous things in a paper to get people's attention. This isn't even worth replying to really. Obama is black, and the only way he wouldn't be "playing the race card" to you crackas is if he 1. goes on TV and tells everybody how much he hates black men or 2. bleaches his skin. In otherwords unless a black man in Amerikkka hates his blackness, he's not fit to be president. Obama's been way polite to you crackas if you ask me... he's gone out of his way to try not to offend you, but you crackas just will not shut the Hell up.

Mcshame on you. well your probably some bleeding heart liberal who wants to raise our tax and create more social programs for the blacks and you know the time is coming for affirmative action to be abolished. face reality, the time has come for whites to WTFU because no matter how much you b.s. people or paint the picture, bottom line is..... its race and it will always be like that in america, anyone who thinks different isn't really living in the u.s.a. or is very brain dead to say the least.

And yet Rice just did that very thing, at the insistence of GWB, who's finally realized that one can negotiate from a position of strength. And such negotiations are NEVER wrong. Bush is also busy negotiating a timeline for withdrawal. Poor McCain remains on the outside. But your screen name, and your comments, show your REAL agenda.

Southern Illinois does not exist to him. He does not recognize anything south of Chicago as Illinois. That is until he sends us letters asking for donations - it was a good thing it is against the law to send poop in the mail because he would have had a truck load full for my donation.

Did someone from the Daley family in Chicago tell Obama to pick Joe Biden? Is Obama targeted for assassination? If he is, then maybe he would be smart to lose the election --- just like the White Sox lost the World Series in 1919.
