I was in Denver and attended the acceptance speech. To my disappointment, Obama, indirectly addresed African-Americans. He never mentioned Dr. Kings' name eventhough he quoted him. He spoke to gays, pro-lifers, and white America directly. Four or Five white Americans were invited to give live testimonies about their woes. I know Obama must tread lightly on not being a black president, but he could have given a black person an opportunity to tell his or story. Was it a calculated risk because I am still going to vote for him.

I never thought I would come remotely close to agreeing with any thing you write. I am depressed and disappointed. Because of you people, we only have the USA. Your European ties are still intact. Hopefully, Obama will prove both of us wrong. I blame your kind. |
