Fire at Jacksonville rental house under investigation
Jacksonville Police and the Illinois State Fire Marshal's office are investigating a Tuesday night fire at a Jacksonville residence while the resident was not home.
A home at 701 S. Church St. caught fire about 2:30 p.m. Monday. No one was injured in the blaze that started in a back closet room of the residence according to Jacksonville Fire Department Captain Bryan McGee.
