Back in traffic: Low gas prices lead more to drive

WITH the cost of just about everything rising, it's a relief to find that gas prices are lower than many of us even remember paying.

I'm not driving more. I'm sick of spending money that burns in the tank. I'm sick of making muslim terrorists rich.

I just knew there were "some newspaper columnists", et al, who have been hoping to force us out of our cars via simply unaffordably high gas prices!
Well, before we sheepies so docily just accept being coherced into riding already very unpleasantly crowded, slow, unreliable etc. etc.,etc. buses (etc.) let's demand that our CONGRESSIONAL reps.,in tandem with our new PRESIDENT, reduce our "Highest Series", i.e., for the last 8 years, population growth rate---one that Census Bureau projections reveal will have us hitting the one BILLION people nationwide (many of whom will continue to be legally allowed to choose to settle in, you guessed it!, So Cal) mark by 2089!!

I'm not driving more, but I am driving smarter. Reducing and combining my driving tasks to minimize our gas usage. The car companies would like nothing more than to have us buy their outdated, large, gas guzzling cars. Not going to happen here. We are in the search for economical, high MPG cars for our household. Though the price per gallon has gone down, I choose where to spend my money. I DON'T want it to go to an Eastern Country, period! I choose to spend it on an economical car, period. Get the hint Big 3.

Got to repeat: Unless we get can get congress and the president to reduce our population growth rate---yes from immigration, what else--- buying high mileage cars, etc. will continue to be like putting one's finger in the dike!
