When students returned to Jonathan Law High School on Tuesday morning, they found gleaming new science labs instead of reconfigured classroom space.

Seriously, I have been reading this paper for years - How many times is Ms. St. Pierre going to be quoted? Does the reporter know anyone besides her? AND it's always, ALWAYS negative. Anything to do with the school system - always negative. Talk about annoying. She obviously has many issues with the school system - why does she have to degrade every little thing good that the school system is trying to do for our children. She needs a hobby.

Thank you, both for commenting on this. I am so tired of seeing her name in print where she takes every opportunity to down grade every item regarding our schools that should be positive and somehow always sees the dark side of everything. Now we are going to hear from her son too? Mrs. St Pierre is the president of SEPTA so I can sort of understand when she is quoted in terms of special ed concerns or other items in that category--but she never has anything positive to say and has always been very critical of our system. Can you please find some happy parents to talk to? I am one and I know dozens who feel the same way I do.

And as a parent of a special needs child...I've attended one (and that was enough for me) SEPTA meeting...I can't believe that someone who should be helping parents does nothing but hinder them. She does no good and brings nothing but negativity when speaking about any type of education in Milford. I have no support. People cringe when they hear the word SEPTA because she's made a mockery of something that should be helping parents of special needs children (we desperately need that type of help/support). Why doesn't she just leave Milford if it's so bad...instead she put 4 children though the school system in which she despises...that doesn't make any sense at all to me. Now her poor son is chiming in opinions in the paper. Seriously...Does Frank Juliano have no one else to call!!!

why is it some are so eager to look for the negative?why is that she is quoted so frequently in the Post?

I applaud the teachers and the Milford school system. There will always be issues in any system. Let us not forget to APPRECIATE and be THANKFUL for the Milford teachers that on a daily basis teach our children and do a great job of it!

Yeah! Finally some comments on something that has been bugging me for a long time. I too hoped that SEPTA would be a safe harbor for me and my interests as a parent of a child with special needs---however, I soon learned that the meetings were #itch sessions and nothing was going to be accomplished with Mrs. St. Pierre and others who are bitter and angry about EVERYTHING! Please stop asking her for comments and try talking to other parents who have more positive outlooks on our system---even those whose kids have multiple issues and have nothing but good things to say about our dedicated teachers. I do not want to read another negative comment of hers and I cannot believe she is now promoting her own son to deliver her agenda on bad-mouthing our wonderful, kind, and devoted teachers... Please stop calling her for her comments.

I too am glad to hear that there are so many who have the same thoughts as me. I had a similar reaction to SEPTA as many of you who have posted.

Go check out the Mosaic group. They have a very positive outlook on situations that for many parents can be overwhelming. They are very helpful people who will help navigate the system and lift your spirits.

That has nothing to do with the conversation here--she is a volunteer and no one said she is lazy just that she has her own agenda.
