Does anyone know what was going on on July 3rd on Oak Island? I was vacationing and several police and emergency workers were going up and down the beach, a police boat was going back and forth in front of our cottage, and a helicopter was flying along the coast line shinning a spotlight along the beach. JThis went on until approximately 2:00 am. Just wondering if anyone has any information.

We were there that same week, and also saw the helicopter going up and down the coast. We wondered what happened.
