Where were the Adults? and why was a baby unattended near water? we all hear it only takes a second for a drowning and as little as 2 " of water . very sad to hear, our prayers to this child and the family - WHY everytime someone gets hurt or worse there is someone claiming to be the cousin,Aunt,etc.. does not sound too believable to us.. I am Donald Trumps long lost Cousin too..- see how untrue that sounds
I believe that the cousins and aunts and family respond to defend those who are attacked by those who do not know the details of the accident or the persons involved. If these parents were family of mine I, too, would feel a need to defend. How many of us who have ever been around young children know how quickly they can disappear or how one parent can easily think they went with another. Like you said, Sandy, it only takes a second. I am sure that these parents wish they had double checked with each other or wish they had put a life jacket on their daughter. Now their only comfort is that Jesus holds her in his arms. Such is our only comfort in life and in death.

Many of you are pretty quick to insult and jump all over the people posting who question tragedy. Well I question it too! It's not that we don't empathize, it's that the whole incident is unneccesary. Many of you pour on the sympathy and don't question why these things happen over and over again. Doesn't it make you angry, or are you all just little stepford people. Go ahead, bring on the insults - you won't read about any child dying in my care on the news.
I sincerely hope that it is true that God wills no child will die in your care-you do not say if you are a parent but I assume you are. As long as we are human people errors and accidents will happen. It is not a perfect world-children are quick and in the blink of an eye-gone! I have seen it happen many times with friends children and nephews and nieces. The same for any other type of accident. And since you didn't post your name we would never know if a child did die in your care.

Thoughts and prayers are with family and friends of this poor family. Most of those on topic are not attacking as much as just wanting to know how it could happen. We just wonder. There is no need to defend family which must feel terrible as is, nor is there reason for family to attack anyone who just wants to know so we may learn for the safety of our children. Peace and comfort to the family for the new angel in heaven.

May God grant peace and comfort to those grieving the loss of Grace. How sad that in the blink of an eye an empty hole remains for the family.

Don't give that award out just yet. She said one of her kids died. Died (Gasp) in an ACCIDENT.
Sure, she says her kid was in her 20's when it happened, but maybe her kid didn't make the best choices? Obviously a reflection of her upbringing.
Why else would the poster say that she lives with guilt everyday of her life? You don't have guilt for something you have no control over. That tells me alot.
It also seems to suggest that lashing out and critiquing others' parenting abilities, is a direct response for not being a good one herself. It happens. It's psychological.
"All you lucky devils who have never lost a child. My daughter was 22 when she died in a car accident two years ago. I've been buried by my guilt and grief every day since"--- MomofAngel
Perhaps she should have gave her child to someone who would have taught her how to live past the age of 22?
VOMIT!!! Why don't you say something that actually makes sense. This child was 18 months old. If you don't have children, please, dont!!!!!

Moron...what a awful thing to say. you don't know what an amazing christian family this is. This could happen to anyone! Jail for 20 years?! Don't you think this family has suffered enough! I'm going to personally pray for you, because it sounds like you need some compassion in your empty heart.
