Muir High teacher is shooting suspect

A teacher at John Muir High School in Pasadena was being held Thursday night as the prime suspect in the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old man at a hillside home in Arcadia earlier this week.

given the fact that Landreth was a suspect of the death of Morales why is it you have come and destroyed the one thing that students and faculty here at John Muir High School have respect for Brandon Landreth for giving his time and effort for the students here and now knowing that he is a suspect he will be view a hloe different way from the students and everyone that know about him ....

Even though no details were provided in this article, it is absolutely horrible. Two teachers in the headlines and we wonder why children are lost. And why in the world do people keep saying they are surprised at violence in their seemingly safe neighborhood? There is madness everywhere!!!!

I never had Mr. Landreth as a teacher, but many of my friends do. He has always been a friendly, outgoing person. You couldn't walk by his class or pass him in the hallway, without him waving or saying hello. He is one of the calmest most intelligent teachers we have and he respects all the students and their opinions. Personally, I hope this is a terrible misunderstanding and that he will return to us as soon as he can. He is a favorite amongst my classmates and he is a valuable teacher.

I had Mr.Landreth my sophomore year at john Muir high school.He is one of the best teachers that I've had in my life time. I think that Mr.Landreth is innocent because he is so calm and he doesn't look like the guy who would do such a thing. Every time he saw you it was always a good morning or hello.i hope he is innocent and would love to see him back at Muir,doing what he does best,teaching history.He's a great teacher and we hope he comes back.

I don't like the fact that the headlines include "Muir Teacher suspect". It makes Muir High look bad. It should say "Monrovia Resident suspect". This killing has nothing to do with with being a teacher.

Apparently this Mr. Landreth is the ex-husband of a girl that Cesar dated. He stalked and killed him- planned. He went crazy because Cesar dated his ex. Talk about the most horribly unbelievable evil reason to kill someone (not that any killing is justifiable) but SERIOUSLY...all of us that were friends of Cesar's are outraged and horrified. And this is coming from an ex student at Arcadia high when the Arcadia teacher who turned out to be having an affair with a student. Goes to show that you can't trust teachers just because they are in respectable positions. I hope everyone can sympathize with Cesar, the innocent victim who was a great guy.

While some of you are worried about Muir High School's repuation by being in the headlines. All who knew Cesar are DEVESTAED and SHOCKED that this COWARD would take such a wonderful human being away from us.

Me personaly, I didn’t have Mr. Landreth as a teacher. Ill admit, I didn’t know him as well as other students either. But what I do know is that he was a great role model to all the kids at JMHS. Always saying “Hi” or “Good Morning” to all. Always in a good mood. He always gave off that good person vibe you know…Im also writing in response to Friend from Whittier, CA. How do you think all the students and faculty at Muir feel???.DEVESTAED SHOCKED just like you!.You think that incriminating our teacher is going to solve everything???. Truth is that, itz not, all your doing is hurting the school even more... Students at John Muir would agree that Landreth did not do what he is being acused of, just like all Cesars family an friends would agree that Landreth did do it. I had Mr. Landreth in 4th grade and I can tell you that he does not seem as a person who would do such a thing! He was my first good teacher! I come from a non- American family and he was there all the time to help me. He was the only teacher that had a fun class to go to! He loved philosophy and even wrote a book! He was was a kind and reasonable person. Even if he did commit this crime, he will still be the only good teacher California ever had!

I was a High School Friend of Brandon and can not believe that he of all people would carry out a cold harted murder. All four + years of a great friendship would never lead me to believe that he is capable of such a horable act. I feel the loss of Mr. Morales is a tragity to his family and friends and have sympothy for his family. Also have so much good to say about Brandon, what a person he is and how we were as friends in the past. I want him and anyone having doubts of WHO Brandon is, A wonderful Person,Teacher,Friend and Familyman, to know that I know who he is and so do all others close to him. I am sorry again for the family of Justo, but hope the best for both familys. As for his studants- I wish you all well and am sorry you will be without such an honorable person, true to his students.

even though landreth was a teacher he was also a trusted friend to many of the students at john muir.....he is innocent, you could ask anyone at the school and they will tell you that mr. landreth is not capable of doing such a thing.
