Just saw this on that RealFastNews.com website. That is funny as hell! Another great example of our hard earned tax dollars at work.

"Randy Allen was also one of the video technicians who recorded the Rome City and Floyd County Commission meetings but has since
been relieved of those duties. His transfer took place because it was discovered and admitted to by Randy Allen that he had not
only posted part of a library video on a message board, which is against the library's own policy, a policy that he was in
charge of enforcing, but had also posted a total of 447 messages on a message board over the last 10 months, of which a still
unknown number was posted while on the clock. Because Susan Cooley would not provide details as to just how many posts were made
on that message board while Randy Allen was on the clock, it appears as though she feels that his admission of posting on the message
board alone was sufficient evidence for the disciplinary action taken against him."

In an era when people are losing trust in government, they think it's trivial to question the productivity of a library worker who was posting library-owned content in violation of their own policy as well as posting on newswire's message board. What isn't mentioned is that aside from posting over 400 times, he surely spent quite a bit of time reading the message board as well.

Sorry but it's just too damn funny that someone so obsessed with giving Fricks the boot is now renewing library cards and checking out books. Maybe he needs to mind his own store.

Well if it's not the Rome News, Hometown Headlines, RomenewsbyWatson, etc., it's now RealFastNews that Jerry is going to pound on. I think he's mad because he didn't break the story and couldn't have covered it anyway because he would have had to tell on one of his own members. How would that have made his board look?

He talked about how the Commission Watcher got thrown under the bus by RealFastNews. I do believe that guy threw himself under the bus by breaking his own rules and getting a little too big for his britches.

I love the part about the library woman saying it was none of RealFastNews's business what Mr Allen's work schedule was. Looks like she found out different about that.

It seems like I read another post on Topix a while back about someone else in a library getting caught on the internet. Anybody know anything about that?
