MRSA in school?

just so you know it was my child that had it and we were mindful we had him at the er and his peds doc and they both said it was fine for him to go to school and all of his sports activeys . he was on his meds all precautions were taking. so that is what i meant when i said people need to know what they are talking about. and for your information he was kept home!!!!!!! me and his mother would NEVER ENDANGER ANY CHILD.... FACT OF THE MATTER HE CAUGHT IT FROM SCHOOL.SO I THINK YOU SHOULD KNOW THE FACTS BEFORE YOU START JUDGEING PARENTS..... THANK YOU...

Well there are numerous cases but the schools keep it quiet. As a teacher in Parke Co. I know myself of 3 cases last school year.

YOU SHOULD DO YOUR HOMEWORK FIRST BEFORE GOING OFF AT THE MOUTH. AS LONG AS THERE IS NO DRAINAGE THEN CHILDREN CAN BE IN SCHOOL. YOU CAN'T CLOSE DOWN A SCHOOL BECOUSE OF THIS. YOU MUST EDUCATE PEOPLE ON WHAT TO LOOK FOR AND HOW TO HANDLE IT. IT CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE. YES IT CAN BE DANGEROUS BUT WITH EARLY TREATMENT AND THE RIGHT DOC TO ORDER THE RIGHT ANTIBOTICS THEN THINGS WILL BE OKAY. IT WILL AFFECT MOST OF US IN OUR LIFETIME. YOU SHOULD GET EDUCATED.

MRSA is everywhere. It is a staph infection. You carry it in your nose and ears. It's not that big of a deal. All you have to do is wash your hands and teach your kids to do the same.

i think some of it has to do with parents. i cant even count how mant time ive been to a public restroom and a mother and i child will go potty and then leave. no hand washing at all. i see it all too often. maybe parents should remind their kids to wash their hands...

my 1 year old grandson got MRSA and it did not spread to to his sisters(as easy as chicken pox)
they are both fine and still haven't gotten it and that was several months ago.teach your children to wash their hands and don't ask your dr for an antibiotic for every little sniffle
