"She said they eventually let her put on a robe and handcuffed her while they continued their search."

Scary.

Why in the world would NBC4 buy into this story? Police raid wrong houses all the time, and will openly admit to it. This is a case where the police raided the right house, but did not locate the evidence they were coming for. It does not mean they had the wrong house, it just means they didn't get what they expected.

This woman and her roommate "BUSTER BUTLER" need to get on with their lives, and stop being associated with homicide suspects.

Stupid, ignorant, and uneducated people are what makes society the way it is now and days.

At about 4 a.m. Tuesday, police broke into the home through a window and set off two concussion grenades before beginning their search.

So now channel 4 is backing her....It should have said: At about 4 a.m. Tuesday, police executed a search warrant by setting off two concussion grenades through a window before entering the home to beginning their search.

This is just another example of the news trying to create drama at the expense of the police department. Sounds like NBC is trying to make a connection with the incident in Berwyn Heights.

Get your facts straight! Why dont you attempt to get a comment from the Judge and the United States Attorney. The USAO signed off on the warrant and the Judge issued the warrant, rather then relying on the ignorant owner of the house who may have a connection to a homocide suspect or evidence to an homocide.

We hit raids alot where s***thead lists his home as his grandma's house but he only uses her house as a mailing address/ home of record but really stays at girlfriends. Why didn't the article mention any family she has??? I bet one of them is no stranger to police with a search warrant!

Sounds more like another case of the police being more of a hazzard than the criminals they are supposed to be protecting us from.

At least they didn't go in blasting and kill all the family pets like they did at the mayor of Berwyn house.

What the hell good is it to have to get a warrent, if you don't even have to show it to the person before you bust into their house start throwing around grenades, Jerk somebody out of bed force them to lay on the floor as they are dressed for bed. And not even tell the people why this is happening and who are what you are looking for.

And I'm pretty sure that all of you "COPS never do anything wrong" mental cases, would just love it if it happened to you.

What the heck would be wrong with just ringing the damn doorbell and presenting the warrent and at least give the person who is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty in this county a chance to comply before they start throwing grenades.

Gee whiz. Kind of reminds me of the sniper case when the police stormed every white van they saw, threw guns in the windows and generally terrorized even young boys riding with their dads.
Then of course there was that infamous raid by the FBI at Lanier Place where the agents instead of going through the front door, came huck finn- tom sawyer like, down through the roof. It was a goofy.
Then there was the sad case of Keyon Balew, I forgot his right name, who was a gun collector. A nasto neighbor reported a hand gernade in his house. The storm troops arrived and busted down the door. Balew came to see what the noise was about. He had been working on an old muzzle pistol at the time and had it in his hand. He suffered serious life long injuries when he was shot in the head.
Even the King of England could not enter a man's home. Today the ghetto, tomorrow the world, the midnight raid, cops who cannot read numbers. What a world!
The people no longer have the right to be secure in their papers and homes, but what does it matter? The Constitution is an old parchment ridden by dazed old white guys so it is not important.

Buster did not say a word. She could be the only innocent victim in this.

The reporting is terrible here. To say they raided the "wrong home" suggests they hit the wrong address. If the warrant was for Jerry and Buster's address, then they didn't get the wrong home. Maybe they didn't find anything, but apparently there was evidence somewhere to support a warrant. Some criminal possibly gave a fake address on some form somewhere, and that was a lead the po-po had to follow. However, their execution of that warrant appears a bit extreme and unprofessional. They could have rung the doorbell and presented the warrant propely rather than storm through windows. If they do that in my house, someone is getting shot...and then probably me!

Its cool that most of you are out of touch with what happens when you sleep. I honestly hope that none of you ever become a victim.

Realize please that the warrant was for that house and for a Homicide not driving on a suspended license. I bet it would amaze most of you that suspects run, destroy evidence, lie, and that family members cover up for family, etc.
Since my opinion is outnumbered if all of you would convince everyone to call us(police), give up, turn in evidence, and finger the drug dealers, murders, their 14yr old sons ramming others in stolen cars, etc, and I will eat my dunkin doughnuts in peace, never having to serve another warrant in Southeast. Some of us don't write tickets in Northwest, hangout at Starbucks, or whatever else it is that many think we do (I get lost up there). There are a few of us who take felons, guns, and drugs off the streets on a DAILY basis in DC.

Oh, I still will bet my custard filled long john that someone from that family is neck deep in trouble.

Maybe the police were right about this one, but there have been cases where they've raided the wrong home and killed an innocent person who thought he was defending his home against intruders.

I don't think we'll ever get the 'real' story on this one; i've become so distrustful of some of our police actions these days because in my lifetime (of well over 50yrs) i've seen so much covered up; explained away; or just never mentioned again! I'll be watching for the 'real' story to come out on this---on Cold Case 20 yrs from now. lollololol

This is the time we in. The police can kick your door in anytime they feel your a "threat". Thanks to the Patriot Act we have lost a lot of our civil rights and we will here about more and more cases like this. A few weeks ago PG Police killed two Labradors during a "drug raid" on a "suspected weed distribution operation". The house belong to the Mayor of the town and he had no connection what so ever any drug activity. We have allowed things to go way out of control because of fear. I hope we can restore some kind of sanity to this country soon.

I don't care if the guy they were looking for has his name on the mortgage, on the mailbox, whatever.

The dumb stupid police should at least KNOW that he's in there before they go throwing grenades in the middle of the night.

I guess stake outs are not as exciting and fun as throwing grenades, kicking in doors and playing with guns.

These police are WORSE than the criminals!

The police are criminals. Most only have a high school education. They just want to play cops and robbers like their still little. Police work now consists of paying informants thats it. No stake out or investigation. All they need is someone to point the finger to get a warrant. Depending on how its written the police can throw grenades, bullets, batons and mace before asking a single question. This country is going down the tubes because of bad leadership. We need to take our country back.

Jody, do you have half a brain? THEY WERE SERVING A SEARCH WARRANT, maybe there was an ARREST WARRANT attached. The reason they BUSTED INTO THE HOUSE, was because it was a SEARCH WARRANT. For a HOMICIDE investigation. There is no knock and announce for high risk warrants like this. If you want to act like you have any clue of what's going on, then do a freaken ride along sometime. Otherwise, shut your trap...you have zero clue about what you are talking about.

Signed,

A police officer

I just realized you were from Greenbelt, that explains a lot. Have fun in PG County bud.
