This is what happens when religion becomes about the brash seminary graduate with the loud mouth rather than about Jesus. See the Sermon on the Mount for the real thing (Matthew 5-7). Jesus predicted counterfeits like this. No surprise here. The only surprise is how naive and gullible church members can be. Depressing stuff.

I was at the fitness center on the night this happened. It was a big ordeal, and happened like the story says. He actually did this to five girls that night, two of them didn't care to file, another who thought there was no point b/c nothing would be done. The girls who filed are very brave. This guy needs help, and he needs to be kept away from positions of leadership. There is no reason to feel sorry for him. Feel bad for the girls he did this to. I can't help but feel bad for his family. It must be heartbreaking to know that the person they have count on and trust most commits such terrible acts.
I'm glad the church made the right choice. For all those who don't think the church voted the right way, ask yourselves this question:
"What if it was my daughter?"

Why would a minister pretend to work at a gym and get small-framed girls by themselves to show them some "moves"?

Pastor Allen is a prudent man. I don't believe any of this. The media is always out to get someone like him. The church has wanted to get rid of him for some time now. A self-defense class for women is a good way to do it. We will be praying for Pastor Allen.

I don't understand why there had to be a heated discussion about this. Forgive him and get his a s s out of that position. They also should have ousted every person that voted to keep him there.

Why was the touching considered inappropriate?

I many religious sects the Laying on of hands is looked upon as a sanctified rite.

Be glad that at least this man of the cloth is not skulking about furtively looking for little boys.

After all, even the Catholic Church while paying out millions of dollars for the transgressions of some of their pederast priests have STILL not formally acknowledged these clerical escapades as sins.

The last Papal decisions about what were the newest sins STILL did not include these actions.

Enough already!!! The behavior of Pastor Allen is INEXCUSABLE but the leaders who malicously, calculated this MEDIA EXPLOSION will have to answer for that. There are no SIGNS that GOD was involved that why they;ll walk with their tails tucked from now on.

ONLY GOD can deal with the mess that this man has created but the BOARD is not above reproach. The vote is the vote so he's out. But what did these SO CALLED BOARD MEMBERS plan to gain from this exposure. Do you honestly believe that others want to join your church because you cleaned it out. You're still there and you displayed MUCH HATRED to this man that you sat under and claimed to LOVE.

He's a lier and their's no doubt in my mind that he did it because he's done it to many other women and young girls also. I think he ought to be in jail. The only reason he isn't is because the church always bails him out and lets him stay. My family left the church after his first year. The following year several women in the church began complaining of his inappropriate behavior and accusing him of the same thing he's accused of in the paper. I also knew of a young girl that his molested but the girl's family didn't want to drag her threw a court case. He deserves much more than he's getting.

I don't know if you truly know him or just making this up but this story follows a strange pattern in churches nationwide. That's because some people go to church to worship a man.
