The Second Baptist Church has voted to oust the Reverend Andre Allen as its pastor.

What about all the good he's doing? Has the media posted his accomplishments? Has his behavior in any way negatively affected his ministry? Or has he operated as any less of a leader because of this act?
Search out the important information, if they oust him from this church, I believe it will only result in the loss of many who have been touched and blessed by his many ministry gifts. You are not void of mistakes or inhuman because "Minister" or "Pastor" becomes your title! It's time for self evaluation! |

Puleeeeez. He negated every good deed he did by humping on those women. Even if they were willing, he is not the type of person that should be leading a group of people in the name of Jesus Christ. All ten commandments can be summed up to love or respect your neighbor. This means yourself, your wife, your congregation, and even a stranger who is working out at a health club. He obviously either didn't know or forgot because he disrespected all pf the above listed parties. Either way, he is a loser and anyone who chooses to follow him after this deserves whatever comes to them because unless he changes his ways, he is headed to the pit of hell. |

Gary, I understand where you're coming from. Really. But you need to be careful to condemn the sin, while still loving the sinner. We always need to operate with God's eyes and heart and judgement, particularly in instances like this. Yes, women seem to have been victimized on multiple occassions. Yes, we would expect preachers and pastors to have a certain mastery over their lsusts. Yes, there is a lingering question of trust and fitness to lead to be considered. Yes, an entire parish and community are hurting as a result. Yes, there are consequences for his alleged actions that many will have to heal from for quite some time. But it's also true that God still loves and extends grace and mercy and redemption and restoration for this man. God stands ready to both forgive, heal, strengthen, and to restore - even when we are not ready to. That's just a fact. So in our haste to condemn the sin and defend the victims, which is appropriate, we must balance these with also using God's guage and God's assessment and God's outlook concerning the sinner. You can't go overboard on this guy. Like David, there is a path in place for his redemption. And we have to hope and pray that he takes it.

I agree Tony. We said the same thing. You just used nicer words. I don't like to candy coat issues. I like to deal with the root.
With today's women showing everything, I can understand how all men can be tempted to do things contrary to God's will for us. I struggle with it myself. But my struggle is in my mind and not on top of some young lady who is working out. Furthermore, I do not portray myself as a man of God. My words are harsh towards him because he does. If he is a man of God, then he knows that this is wrong and what the consequences are. God will always forgive but this man will have to suffer the consequences of his actions. |

I do not know this Pastor, just an innocent bystander reading a news article...What he did is SHADY and DISGUSTING and just plain weird. I want my Pastor to be of honest charachter with no devious questionable ghosts in their closets. This man deserves to be let go...how can he preach to a church about doing good etc when he is a pervert. No arguements needed.

I wonder how many sheep would allow him to privately counsel their young sexy wives or daughters. I believe that my pastor is a good man. The key word is man so I trust him as much as I trust any other man.

Honestly, I think he should stay with that congregation. By now, everyone there knows he's an amoral, boundryless, weak, untrustworthy jerk. They can treat him that way, which will make for a great punishment. Plus, the way some churches move 'fallen' priests/pastors around leaves the door open for another congregation to be taken advantage of by this guy.
