Poor guy, his life has really gone to the dumpster. He probably meant well by robbing those banks, trying to help his family only to have it backfire. How will his family survive this nightmare? His wife wasn't even aware of his actions. It looks like Cantu's wife will have to hold the family together in this time of crisis.

Well well well...

And I quote:

"According to the complaint, Susan Cantu told an FBI agent and a La Habra police officer that she was worried about her husband. She said Cantu was terminated from his job at FedEx in March and is now working as an umpire for Big League Dreams sports park.

But she told the officers his pay is less than what they are used to and they have been in a pinch since March.

"She said ... Cantu felt responsible to earn an income to support the family; she does not work and stays home to take care of their two children," the complaint stated.

Susan Cantu asked why they were asking about the family's finances and, before the agent could answer, she reportedly said, "What did he do, rob a bank?""

She was worried about him? What did he do, ROB A BANK?

No, sweetie. He robbed SEVERAL banks. He was robbing banks as far back as 2005 and 2006 - when he was supposedly working.

I'm having trouble understanding how she DIDN'T know he was up to no good. How is it that "since March" they've been in a financial bind? He's been robbing banks since 2005! Where did she think he was getting the money? And if she never saw any of the money, just where was it going?

I'm glad the judge denied bail. This guy needs to go away for a long time. The physical evidence, pictures and videotape DO NOT LIE.

Goodbye, Vince. You fooled many of us for years - but no more.

"Poor guy...he probably meant well by robbing those banks."???? Are you kidding me? Ask the bank employees that had a loaded 40 caliber pointed at their face if he meant well. Ignorant comment Jeremy. You feel sorry for a man that was driving around robbing banks in a bran new FJ Cruiser; a car with poor gas mileage, and you're sympathetic to his crimes due to financial hardship? That's sad.

Chill bros. Cantu is really a nice guy. He didn't shoot anyone did he? He only cared about his son. Cantu said he robbed the banks for his poor son's operation. I am not condoning stealing money, I'm just saying that the former cop has a good heart. It's just amazing what need will do to a human. As for the wife, I'm certain she did not know what her hubby was up to otherwise she would not have asked, "What did he do? Rob banks?"

Thanks for bailing me out sister Jade. You don't need to explain anything to these ignorant people. We both know the former cop would not have shot anyone!

Ol Vince will be a great pitcher or catcher behind bars.

Video tapes and first hand eye witnesses will not lie.

Vince, should have attempted to support his family like most of us. Hard work, ethically, and pride. This guy always wanted something for free.

What a deep sheet cop. His wife deserves no mercy. She was in it too. If she worried so much she should have gotten off her arse and got a job.

I read it on one of the articles. Apparently Cantu claimed that his son needed help for an operation which was costing him a fortune. Since he didn't have a job he could not afford health insurance. The thought of his young son dying pushed him to the brink.

Are the same person. No need to waste your time arguing with him. He's just trying to stir up some crap. Let him talk to himself.

Vince is going down - in flames. There's no way he's going to get out of this. He was caught red-handed. They recovered the weapon, a loaded .40 cal Smith & Wesson, and the other items associated with the ARMED ROBBERIES. Whether or not he actually shot anyone makes no difference at all. He's a felon whether or not he even used a gun so it's a moot point.

This pathetic douchebag let down his family and his friends. I hope they throw the book at him.

He didn't shoot anyone - but using a gun in the commission of a crime is threatening to shoot them. Almost just as bad. I wonder how all you Vince sympathizers would be singing his nice guy praises if it was your loved one who had the gun pointed to their face during his cowardly attempts to "help his son" or "feed his family". Give me a break, it doesn't matter how "nice" he was - he fooled everyone with his nice guy charade - the guy is a liar and a criminal. But if he's so nice, I'm sure he'll have lots of buddies in prison....
