Driver charged after leaving hospital

The driver of the 1941 DeSoto involved in a fatal crash last month has been released from the hospital and booked for gross vehicular manslaughter, officials said Tuesday.

I pass this intersection going to and from work every day. The roadside memorial is still there, and it's obvious Mr. Garcia is missed. How sad it must be for all the family members to know that Mr. Herrera is responsible for his cousin's death. My prayers go out to all of them.

Blah Blah Blah. I wonder if anyone checked Mr. Garcia's blood levels? If he was clean, why in the hell would he get in a car driven by someone drunk?? Sorry, but both are idiots. I suspect that both were drinking..........

What happened can't be taken back, we can only learn from what has happened. So many people think they can drive after drinking "it will never happen to me" attitude. Those chances should never be taken. We are not immune to things like this, they happen everyday we all need to realize this and take a cab, before we have that accident that takes the life of someone we love. I am a survivor of the death of my niece,who was killed in a car accident by her father who was drinking and driving,
life has not been the same it's been 23 years, my niece would be 38 years old. That's a lot of life that is missed. I pray for Joel and his family there will be a lot of life missed, and I pray for Josh because he will forever live his life with only the memory of one he loved dearly, he cannot take it back, although he wishes he could, are you listening young ones! Don't drink and drive. It can change your life forever.

Where is the family now ranting and raving that the DRIVER WAS NOT DRINKING?????
As I said I the past neither driver had a right to be on the road and now a young man is dead my heart goes out to the family. As for the driver that was drinking well good lick in the future you will need it.

People shoud approach situations like this with sympothy. This is a tragedy but this could have been avoided. Lets all learn from theire mistakes and try to avoide a repeat in history. My heart goes out to the Families and I hope from here on out the legal issues go in there Favor.
