Shoshana Ben-Horin, who is involved in the group Tree People, which helps the Mayor's Office plant more greenery...should be demanding to know where hizhonor's 10,000 missing give-away trees are. Before I worked with Tonio on a green- or any-project, I'd sure want to know.

And when all these trees get planted, will they be pruned more frequently than once every other ice age? Will they be allowed to push up the sidewalks, causing injury, lawsuits and additional costs to homeowners? If you want to fix our "streets" try paving them and busting illegal garage conversions with 15 people living in a home zoned for single family use.

More idiotic feel-goodism that does nothing.

Streets that are inviting to people doesn't mean inviting to "diverse" people who like to spray paint, "borrow" money, and kill people of another diverse group. What Woodland Hills needs besides sidewalks and better street lights, are police substations and CCTV at intersections to record the gangbangers cruising through on their way to a driveby.

What Woodland Hills really need is to incorporate with Ventura County and get rid of the City of Los Angeles for its lack of quality of life issues. The fact is Woodland Hills is part of the City of Los Angeles, and they must bare their fair share of high density, low low income housing; if not, the City is discriminating. Take some of the burden off of us that live in the City, in other communities such as Van Nuys, North Hollywood, Valley Glen-Van Nuys, Valley Village-Van Nuys.
