If the indian family doesn't approve of a woman who marrys into a family she will be killed.
In India I have read about how men set their wives on fire because they want to remarry.

Women who think they can marry these foreign men should know that they are marrying into very tribal people.

A 57-year-old Indian man has been charged with killing his pregnant daughter, son-in-law and grandson by setting afire their apartment in Illinois in the United States because he was upset over her marrying a man from a "lower caste".

Subhash Chander faces three counts of first-degree murder, one count of homicide of an unborn child and one count of aggravated arson, and was denied bail by Judge Martin E McDonough.

Monika Rani, 22, Rajesh Kumar, 36, and their son, Vansh, 3 were killed in the weekend blaze. Rani was about five months pregnant, authorities said.

Chander told the police that he was upset with his daughter and son-in-law because they married without his consent and he considered Kumar to be from a "lower caste", first assistant state's Attorney Robert Milan was quoted as saying by the media.

For one murder case there are hundreds that are happily married.... read the other thread.

For WM/BW marriage there are many cases of Death threats.... disowning etc. But that doesn't get hyped, does it?

You should always check into the family you are getting married to. Evil people are evil... No matter what their race is!

Wow, what a sick and twisted individual. I've heard of these honor killings. They're really extreme and psychotic.

I read a story a few years ago about these two muslem brothers. One of the brothers was homosexual. The straight brother shot and injured the gay brother. Luckily, he lived.
