Exactly my thoughts.

I thank the authorities for maintaining order and locking up any radicals and neocons that are protesting the DNC.

I worked downtown today and with the exception of an incident on the 16th Street Mall, the downtown area was fairly tame. Lots of police in riot gear and Men in Black types with the little lapel pins and earpieces, but the turnout of protesters was much lower that had been expected. I kind of think the only protesters that are going to get arrested are going to be the ones that go out of their way to get locked up. Several times I saw delegates (you can tell from the campaign buttons covering every square inch of clothing from the waist up) asking the cops in riot gear for directions. It looked odd, because you normally don't walk up and ask a SWAT team member how to get to Walgreens, but the police were being very polite and helpful. Lots of people riding around on the loaner bicycles provided free of charge (at both the DNC and next week's RNC) and sightseeing. Hope the next three days are this uneventful.

The protesters have a right to protest what is this can anyone say police state i can. this is just another way for the trigger happy police to show their abuse of power in denver. i will be amazed if this post actually i put up on this site vote obama because with mccain it would be worse.
