1 Thank you...I try. We had a nice, quiet 4th. All children (grown), spent the holiday with inlaws...so we, and a friend, cooked a steak and lobster dinner with banana splits for dessert. Put patriotic music on and just relaxed. |

No, How about a Blow Fish with big ears and Obama's face on it? Be real cute FILP/FLOPPING "O," That's got a true ring. Or Obama the "revision" on the "War Bozo" Or Obama the "panderer for votes with a BIG RED NOSE and red hair like BOZO! You can be his sidekick. How many more years in Iraq? A Vote for Obama won't give you the true answers as to how many more years, because he's not even sure! Obama's platform was "vote for me and I will bring the troops home in 2009"???? What happened to your "boy"???? |
|
We now have a new name for "flip flopping"..it is "evolving"...so nobody on any side can accuse a candidate of flip flopping...they are just evolving. |
|
Good morning "E" I believe that if Obama would have been true from the very get go and not conveniently changed his opinion now on certain issues that Obama would have never gotten the nominee. |

1 Ric, I'm sure you recall the time when I collared John McCain for drunk driving and he told me I was making a big mistake because he had a lot of influence with Bush and Cheney. To this day I regret letting him drive away. |

1 Why can't you fellows comprehend the disaster that would be? Phil Gramm is responsible for Enron and the subprime mortgage scandals. It was Grimm's amendment that deregulated energy futures and the subprime industry. After doing this, Gramm placed his wife, Wendy, on Enron's board where she was paid $1.85 in salary to rubberstamp all of Enron's crooked accounting schemes. Gramm pulled the same stunt himself when he left the Senate. He hooked-up with USB, one of the biggest holders of subprime backed stocks -- that is, the direct beneficiary of Gramm's deregulation of the subprime mortgage industry. Obviously, while a senator, Gramm was working for USB all along. This thief is the man most responsible for the jump in price at the pump. This thief is the man most responsible for massive decline of the housing industry. This thief is the the man McCain wants to make our next Treasury Secretary. This thief should be in jail not rewarded with the highest financial position in the country. ricland |

1 You are biased. Everyone is. You can't escape from it. You may have told what you know of the story, however you may only be repeating the biases of those who gave you that limited information. You don't know if it was an accident. It might have been, but you don't know. Even if you had been there watching it, you would still not know. It is true that she may have so little respect for herself that she stays married to a genocidal maniac. But this gives me little respect for her. I don't remember the presidents of any of those wives mentioned being genocidal. I didn't see them lie us into war. I didn't see them loot trillions from the US treasury. You can look at any of a variety of links where bush climbs on the rubble of the WTC, pulls out the megaphone and laughs at all the victims. I know, the media at the time said he was just smirking and some even gave him the nickname of "smirk." I don't care what you call it. He laughed at those that died. It was on many TV channels. I am sure you could find them if you wanted. |

1 McCain is trying to turn it into a contest of who's more patriotic and as we see with the yahoos and hillbillies here in this forum, they're taking to it like pigs to slop. Mind you, McCain volunteered to fly combat jets so no matter how he fell apart as a POW, his bona fides in the patriotism department can hardly be questioned. But what can be questioned is what else he brings to the table. Like Wesley Clark said, "Jumping out a plane doesn't qualify a person to be president." Worse still, McCain's recent attempts to resurrect Phil Gramm's career is as chilling as it gets. No one person is more responsible for rising energy costs and the subprime market collapse than Phil Gramm. In a just world Phil Gramm would be in jail with Jeff Skilling, Fastow and all the rest of the Enron crooks. Instead, McCain is letting on this rotten human being is his choice for Treasury Secretary. In other words, when McCain said that he "doesn't know as much about economics as he should" he wasn't kidding. He hasn't a clue why men like Phil Grimm shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the White House, let alone be made Treasury Czar. For 24 years, Phil Gramm fought for government deregulation across the board. He wanted government out of everything that had anything to do with money. Big business loved him. Enron poured in rivers of money to Gramm's campaign war chest. Without Gramm Enron would have remained a unreachable dream in Ken Lay's head. Likewise, without Phil Gramm, the subprime mortgage industry would have never got a foothold in the money-lending business, the millions defaulting on their mortgages today would still be renting and the mortgage and banking industry would not be hemorrhaging. Phil Gramm changed all that. Phil Gramm gave white collar criminals like Lay, Skilling, Fastow, Milikin, Boesky, et. al. the keys to the bank, and , boy, did they rob and steal. ricland |

1 The following is a snippet from the journal of the worker Cindy McCain fired for reporting her to the DEA: October 2, 1992: Well, it is done. Last night Jim and Smitty confronted Cindy regarding her dependency to prescription drugs and she admitted to her addiction. I understand that she told the Hensleys her addiction was rooted in her unhappiness--her marriage--and that she took the pills to mask her depression. The Hensleys told Cindy they knew she had a problem because of her severe mood swings and her change in character. They also said her meanness towards others was not excusable and must stop.... October 6, 1992: All shit hit the fan yesterday! Jeri Johnson called Dr. Moffo to ask him not to fill anymore prescriptions for Cindy McCain. Dr. Moffo said he had not been filling any prescriptions for Cindy--it seems Cindy has been using Tom's DEA number to obtain her drugs! Jim Hensley called Cindy this morning and told her not to use Moffo's number again. She denied she had used the number and since then has been trying to contact Moffo. God knows what she will say to Moffo if she reaches him. Also, Cindy was trying to reach Dr. John Johnson. She is either trying to do some quick damage control or she is going to set somebody up for the fall.... October 7, 1992: More of the same. Yesterday the Tom Moffo issue became more complicated. After Jim Hensley confronted Cindy with information about her using Tom's name to obtain drugs Cindy called Moffo to question him. Moffo told Cindy he would not do any follow-up, i.e., turn her in, but told her to never do it again. http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/1994-09-08/new... ricland |

1 He ran into trouble with a vet on this site: http://groups.google.com/group/alt.conspiracy... and here's ric's own site: http://riclandreport.blogspot.com/ He's a one trick pony. |
I got my information from CBS News, googling Cindy McCain and reading several articles on that site..and an interesting article provided by Aging Hippy. Since you are the one that says that happened the burden of proof is on you...give me a link please as I have never heard this particular bit of info before. |
