1 Boy you said a mouthful and many probably feel the same as you. I feel that in any case involving a death there should be absolutely no bargining, no way, no how. If there is dna evidence in more than one form then it should be the death penalty. We are to lenient on crimes against humanity, hence why there is so much crime. The time should outway the crime so as to deter people from doing it to begin with. Robber, time and take off one hand. Rape, castrate them and time. Murder, death. One other thing the process should be within one year and no longer. Evidence and witnesses get old fast. |

1 Almost forgot - These 2 guys should suffer the same death as Eve, if not worse. Shoot them in the leg, then the arm and so forth and wait 20 minutes before the next shot and then blast them in the head. They deserve nothing less. |

How about these guys should have never ever had a weapon to begin with!!!! How did they get them and why isn't something done to stop people like them from getting one in the first place. Nobody should have to pack a gun and go around scared all the time. To me that's not freedom. |
At a family event like Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI this is going to be a feature. Originally it was open to every one..but after some protesting they changed it to over 18 with ID. We wonder why the gun culture of just shooting someone over anything is rampant. They seem to be glamorizing it in everyones minds. This week in Milwaukee Summerfest:“Virtual Army Experience” exhibit puts a smile on killing The Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice, Peace Action-Wisconsin, Veterans for Peace and others have protested that Milwaukee Summerfest is hosting a military recruiting exhibit called Virtual Army Experience, an interactive “game” in which participants shoot at people displayed on a life-size computer screen while standing on a real Humvee equipped with machine guns. And we try and blame the video games that parents buy for their children. All the while the military is promoting it too? |

This is an outrage. So first, no this summerfest is off limits to kids. Not fair. You hit the nail on the head with the word glamourizing as it truely is the key word. This is what they do in promoting violence and guns. But then one someone is killed by one everyone is appalled. Go figure! The problem can not be blamed on any one person or group but we all share as a whole in thishuge problem we have here. If something is not done soon we are headed for big trouble. Unfortunately I don't know how to fix it but this I do know and that is you can't leave everyone unarmed, yet to arm everyone is a dangerous situation also. And some people do agree to arm everyone even the young kids. No thank you! And if you read some of these forums on guns that's just what they say. A CRAZY neighbor of mine says even first graders should have guns. Question - Is the Armed Forces directly involved with this or is it just a group? If I were you I'd get a bunch of people together and head to the Governors office. PRONTO!!!! |

Let me introduce myself first as a sportsman and vetran.
Second let me tell you of the shock I experienced when I lived in Europe for a decade of military service (6yr. US Army) & college. I wondered where the slums where in Europe... I wondered where the violent minorities were... I wondered where the filthy ghetto was... I wondered where the gun toting thugs where... Then I realized that unless you go to the third world - you only find those things in the US. AC - vetran, entreprenuer, former Republican, proud American |

In mostly every country in Europe when the kids finish High school they must all do one years time in the military.(at least the males) Do you think this would be a good idea in this country? And also make it mandatory for the females? See how fast we'd teach these kids some respect, manners, and self esteem. They couldn't get drugs, porn and all the other dangerous and vile materials available on the streets. Maybe hopefully it will point them in the right direction. |

What do you mean we are so lenient? We have capital punishment in the majority of states, and many other countries, who have no capital punishment, have lower crime rates than us suggesting that capital punishment does nothing to deter the offenders. |

Okay so what's the solution to crime? It's said that let the punishment fit the crime, and I say maybe if sentences were more then maybe it would help deter crime. For example and this is only an ex as I don't know what the sentences are for armed robbery, but if it's normally 10 yrs lets make it 15. Also lets stop all this plea bargianing. Victims didn't get that advantage so why do criminals. I think that's nonsense. |

Forgot to ask, so why do other countries have a lower crime rate? What are they doing that we're not! |

But the fines will be stiffer in the military and there prisons are worse than your regular prison. So what's your solution? Or maybe you don't have one and just want to disagree with what anyone might suggest! |
