Barack Insane Nobama wrote: <quoted text> It is a tragedy what has happened to the Democratic party. For almost eight years, I've been planning a celebration for when George Bush leaves office. I had thought that the Democrats would nominate an acceptable candidate, and we could go about the business of repairing this country. Then, Obama came out of nowhere. At first, before I knew much about him, I had a favorable opinion of him. However, after much research, I found him to be the most deceptive, ruthless and divisive candidate in my lifetime. That is why, if he is the nominee, I will be casting my first ever vote for a Republican for President. So you'd rather stick with the devil you know than the devil you don't? As for Obama being "the most deceptive, ruthless and divisive candidate" You must not have been paying attention to Mr McCain's blatant lies, his pathetic scare tactics(which the media reports on as if they were the holy word of God)and his childish 'I'll do what I want' attitude.Neither of the candidates or their VP choices are by any means perfect, but to purposefully vote for four more years of the same politics(which this election was supposed to remove)is petty and irresponsible

Laurelin: Quote: Of all the things to comment on - you pick Sarah's children's names? How about foreign policy? How about the need for a strong reform in America? How about Sarah's policy on abortion rights? Her lack of experience? Her past JOB related decissions? Might as well end your comments with MILF - if you are going to be so shallow about the state of our Nation... end Quote Did you read the article? Alaska's first female governor arrived at the Capitol in 2006 on an ethics reform platform after defeating two former governors in the primary and general elections. During her first year in office, Palin moved away from the powerful old guard of the state Republican Party and has refused to kowtow to the powerful oil industry, instead presiding over a tax increase on oil company profits that now has the state's treasury swelling. But she is a proponent of petroleum development. Woman of faith, anti-abortion. Has more experience than nobama! Has actually worked in the office she was elected to. Since becoming a senator, all nobama has done is run for president. nobama never held a real job and he is almost 50 years old.

How cool is that? What a stupid choice. Well when they return some of the oil revenue back to the taxpayers (like she did in Alaska), I'll take your share.

The fundamental problem here isn't her, though. It's McCain. WHAT is so demented about him that he'd make such an impulsive, rash and ill-considered choice? And what does it say about his stability over the next four years? No thank, no McCain for me.

One who loves her family, takes care of herself(alot of you women could use her as a mold of what you should look like), cooks, runs a state, has been an executive and has truly made leaps and bounds for her state in 2 short years. She has more experience than Obama for God's sake and he is running for President. For the first time in my life I will be proud to vote for John McCain and for the first time I will vote Republican. It is very exciting. Well written. The more the Obama backers react viscerally to this choice the more I'm encouraged that they secretly fear this individual. The lady represents everything Obama only makes speeches about but has no intention of acting upon. If you Obama backers really wanted change this person represents change that all people of this country should support: integrity, personal responsibilty and cleaning up the fiscal mess that unfortunately George Bush (I'm a Republican but I admit mistakes) has helped create.

Uh, we are already at war, and you want lighweight Nobama to lead on the first day. HA! Regroup, rethink - punt.

Prior to that, she was Mayor of a town of 9,000. Prior to that, she was a contestant for Miss Alaska. She didn't win. A female Dan Quayle. Puff pastry. How many representatives does Delaware have? I'll save you the time ...... ONE . And why did biden go to Delaware? He could not be elected in PA.

Patrick, Wouldn't worry about how Dems react--I'd worry about your fellow GOPer--some who have crapped their pants, several times, by now. Mccain wants to harp on Obama's "inexperience"--tell me, what kind of "experience" does the Governor of Alaska have? I mean, really? This is nothing more, than a paean to the "Hillary voters" who have sworn off supporting Obama. Trouble is, for that voting bloc, McCain just may hit paydirt.

Hope your kidding...this has energized this party in a way that Pawlenty and Romney were incapable. Everyone GOP friend I have loves this move. She is a breath of fresh air. I really love the experience argument, you're pretending that learning how to run for President gives him experience. He's done nothing in the senate and even the most ardent backer cannot dispute that. Even if I accepted you're point on "experience" (which I don't); is it better to have no experience as President or Vice-President? You might not want to bring up the whole experience thing in future arguments since Joe Biden stated publicly, and did not back down from, that his own running mate was not prepared to be President. Keep fawning over the speechmaker like a lemming.

I don't yet know much about Palin, but what I've read so far she seems to fit the bill I and many Americans want in the White House - someone who is willing to fight wasteful spending and pork barrel politics. Americans do want change. The problem is many voters are just now realizng that Obama's political career was incubated in the garbage pits of Chicago corruption. He could have fought the massive corruption when he was a legisaltor but instead remained silent. For his silent cooperation, the corrupt politicians like Stroger, Emil Jones, the Daleys et. al. have awarded him with money and manpower from their vile ranks. Palin, on the other hand, seems to have a history of fighting corrupt politicians even if they are one of her own. That's the change I want.

Had he "veeted" her he would know she is under investigating in Alaska. So far costing the state $100,000 and counting since it isn't over. True Hillary supporters will not throw their support to her simiply because they have the "same parts". This pick was a panic. Now to be called "The Palin Panic Pick".
