Of course you can, I am for life ,for all life,I am pro-life. But I am also pro-choice,for choice,I just happen to believe that one of the choices should not be for the choice to end the most innocent of all lives in the womb.We all make choices every day of our life.

Hope this makes sense Honda.

Another question could be can you be pro-life and pro death penalty?
I personnaly don't like abortion but it is not my place, nor the government's, to make that kind of decision for you.

Yes I believe you can be. I am for the death penalty,These people are not innocent for the most part they have committed a horrible crime. The unborn have committed no crime, why should they be killed? This is JMO.

At one time I was for the death penalty %100 but I have reservations - what if a mistake is made (wrong person convicted). Now in cases where someone confesses willingly or is caught in the act, yea I have no problems with it. And I sometimes think life in prison is worse punishment than death.

And at one time I wasn't for it I really went back and forth for a while, yes mistakes happen but not too often and when they do it's horrible,But I just feel sitting in prison isn't the answer,I guess mainly because their victim doesn't get to live out the rest of their life somewhere.

I had a niece stabbed 2 years ago by her estranged husband,he is now sitting in prison for the next 18 years for attempted murder, had he killed her I would have wanted him dead. So she suffers every day of her life and he sits in prison thinking about what he did.She is just relieved he can't get at her,but also wonders what will happen if he gets out on good behavior. Her life will never be the same again.

That is what changed my mind about the death penalty.

I think you will find that most people that are pro-life, are also in favor of the death penalty. Just an observation I've made....

I am pro life for myself, and pro choice for others. I recently heard someone say that being pro choice IS being pro life, because each woman has the right to choose how she will handle that situation.

As far as the death penalty, I am all for it. Especially if it involves a crime agaisnt a child. If it is proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, don't wait 20 years, get rid of them right away.

I'd find it hard to argue w/ that statement. Though I personally would be against an abortion I think that is a choice people have to make for themselves. I also don't beleive it is my place to tell someone who has an abortion that they are wrong or right. And despite having been raised a catholic I'm not a fan of abortion clinic protesters either. It's not their place to tell you how to make that decision nor harass you about it. IMO.

That's a stupid question.
The question should be, "Can you be pro-abortion and anti-abortion?"

Pro-choice does not mean pro-abortion. It means people who are in favor of the woman making the choice that is best for her.

From a rational and humane point of view there are good arguments against death penalty. First, a death penalty is irreversible. If the accused is later found innocent, the government has committed murder. Second, the execution makes it impossible to accuse the person for other criminal doings later. For example in the case of Saddam Hussein, it could have been useful to keep him alive if there would come other information about the regime later. A life penalty would be more preferable.

I think the point of a legal system is not only to punish and keep the criminals away from society but also to reform the people by giving them more opportunities. Neither a death penalty or a life in prison sentence will do this. If we have given up on a persons ability to change what does that say about our humanity?

Not where I'm from. I personally don't know anyone who have anything against the womans right to choose for herself. Neither do I know anyone who are for death penalty. Neither do I know anyone that thinks about the cluster of cells up to two months as an "unborn holy life".

Don't know why, it's just how it is here.

I'm not sure you can reform a serial murder or reppeat child molester. Reforming someone has it's place but sometimes the only way to protect society from certain people is to make sure they are never free again.

Still, with death penalty one will never know. One will loose the option of doing research on the behaviour of serial murderers and child molestors to gather informaton about critical factors and to prevent others from doing the same things.

I believe there should be a possibility to expand sentences given that the person is of grave risk to the society but in either way I don't see what good death penalty does.

To me, that's a really bad reason to support the death penalty. You want to kill criminals because it makes you feel good.

That's about as far from pro-life as it gets.

Yes. I am pro life in my own life, but support a women's right to choose. I personally don't think I would ever have an abortion, but it's not my place to tell other people that they can't.
