There's nothing good about this goverment from the time BUSH/CHENEY TOOK OFFICE. To many crimial's and so little time to rob this nation. This goverment doesn't car about your health, security, investments, or if you are able to purchase food/medication. It cares about big oil and to see that the rich get richer, to hell with poor.

I completely and wholeheartedly agree. We don't need Mexicans peeing on our food and making us all sick.
You can buy tomatoes and jalapnos grown in Chicgo if you like, or you can go to Jewel or Dominics and buy off the shelves, where the origins may or may not be obvious. Winter produce might also be a problem.
What is more important is to wash and cook veggies before you eat them. Cooking kills salmonella.

right, so tomatoes, then jalapenos, maybe cilantro...
it sounds too much like someone is really trying to blame it on the mexican food. that is easy concidering that a lot of american like the idea of unsafe, unclean, dontdrinkthewater, mexico...
lets hope they find out soon what it is, cos this is costing mexican farmers a lot of money they just dont have. and with the "new" alegations, its gonna get worse.

I've been saying it was peppers for weeks. I got sick about a month ago and I knew it was those hot peppers I had on my sandwich made at Safeway. I wish there was an easy way to submit comments to the FDA without calling and sitting on hold. I tried to notify them but sat on hold forever so I said forget it. Hopefully they read these comments ?? It's a shame consumers have the info but the FDA is not competent enough to set up a notification system to let them know where we got sick.

I work at a local kroger in denison texas. I not sure where the salmonella is coming from but i can tell you one place it could be coming from and we not even know it. As you know most retail stores get their product on pallets. Well those pallets are being used for all types of product from meat, to produce to even lawn items. What if some of those pallets have carried meat and it leaked on to pallet. My company don't wash them I don't think, don't hold me to that but i have never heard that they was the what we call chep pallets. They are heavy blue pallets. What if their was Salmonella on one of them pallets and the next day that same pallet carried produce to a given store. If say one of the boxed fell on pallet or some spilled on the pallet it would just e picked up and but back in the box then stocked at a later time. That is my opinion of how it could happened or could. There should be a lot of test run to see if those pallets could house a bacteria. If ne one wants to discus this u can reach me at Lee_2_2000_75020@yahoo.com.

The Centers for Disease Control released a report this week linking nearly 1,000 injuries and more than a dozen deaths to the Gardasil vaccine.
These warnings often go unnoticed and more and more young women are being exposed to the possibility of being injured by this vaccine. State governments have picked up on the trend of mandating its young women to receive Gardasil, an obvious boon to the manufacturer.
Please read more about this and take action before more injuries are suffered: http://www.gardasil-talk.com
