Color shouldn't come into play in vote for - or against - Obama

I am amazed reading why Americans who are not people of color will not vote for Sen.

The truth is Sam people do not want what he stands for. It is not about color, it is about what is right for America. A person who does not recognize the patriotic symbols or beliefs of the origin of this country cannot represent us as a leader who will continue to assure those beliefs are carried out in the execution of thier duties.

While we recognize the American government needs change we do not believe his beliefs are in the best interest of this country and what it stands for. He is bringing a personal agenda with him that is counter productive to what has been built for over 250 years.

What have you been smoking? Have you actually HEARD any speech he has given?
On patriotism, on Faith, on Race. Do you even KNOW his platform?
I guess you are looking for an America
that has a government that supports business and wealthy citizens over everyone else.
I guess you are looking for an America that tortures, that starts a war to colonize a nation, and an America that falls deeper and deeper in to debt.
No thanks, I'll vote for the candidate with intelligence, and agrasp of this country's great history. That candidate is Barack Obama.

Dearest Sam, you need to take off those rose colored glasses and do just a little research on your man Obama. There are a lot of reasons NOT to vote for this man and none of them need to include black! This guy is dangerous and given the shape the country is in now we would never survive an OBAMA presidency! Do your own fact finding as it appears that you are the one who likes to make color the issue! Don’t do it; the stakes are too high!!!!

If the choice is 4 more years of George Bush vs. Obama...I'll take Obama. You keep saying that he's "dangerous"...and the "stakes are too high." But yet you believe that things are going to be just rosy under McSame, correct?

You can count on a continued and indefinite presence in Iraq, the absolute annihilation of the middle class, continued pampering of the wealthy, the worst education system in the world, a dollar that will be worth about 19-cents, and a full-blown recession-turned-depression.

In the last 7+ years this country has gone down the toilet...and all McSame is going to do is pull the handle that one last time. Rose colored glasses, you say? Perhaps you should try some Windex on yours; I think they're a tad smudged.

If color does not matter, then why do 90% of blacks want Obama. Sounds a little racist to me. In fact it is quite scary.

For the note above on support for wealth and business. Thats what fuels this country. They create jobs, risk, creativity, inventions, patents, mutual retirement funds etc. If you want a nanny government then move to Cuba where my great aunt had to send for a procedure kit from me for caterack surgery.

Rememeber Big Government is the largest most monopolistic corrupt BUSINESS in the world. Private industry, charities, self help and education make us great.

Education system of government schools is not the answer but the opportunity is there if you want it. Many just DO NOT want to learn. It ain,t cool, too white or don't want to learn proper english.

Pampering wealthy? They create industry jobs. Compare FedX to USPS. Or how about MT Sinai Hospital to the VA.

Presence in Iraq to contain peace and resist insurgencies. We are in Japan, Germany, Korea and other parts of the world for years.

Last 7 years try last 2 years since Nancy and her gang took the house and senate.

THANK GOD, OBAMA'S SUPPORT IN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS WEAKENING
July 4, 2008: In a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey completed in early June before Senator Clinton ended her White House bid, 60 percent of Clinton backers polled said they planned on voting for Obama. In the latest poll, that number has dropped to 54 percent.

In early June, 22 percent of Clinton supporters polled said they would not vote at all if Obama were the party's nominee, now close to a third say they will stay home.

In another sign the wounds of the heated primary race have yet to heal, 43 percent of registered Democrats polled still say they would prefer Clinton to be the party's presidential nominee.

That number is significantly higher than it was in early June, when 35 percent of Democrats polled said they preferred Clinton to lead the party's presidential ticket.

Yep ... no negro, no BO. Otherwise, he's just another lib.com , a junior senator and Chicago hack. Perhaps shows promise. Given another 10-y of experience who knows what matures?
So yep ... the current Barack candidacy is esentially racist. Now, who sez that's a BAD thing ? Mebby long overdue to push the hot-buttons.

It seems color matters.People of color make it matter.Like mentioned already, people of color will support a colored man no matter what. Lock step voting!
Now with Obama, is was not a problem early on.Iowa showed that in the primary.A white state.
Then came a guy of color.A long time friend, and his spiritual minster of 20+yrs. Obamas man of color,he comes out ,and rants his racisum...Obama at first supports him....then of course ,for political reasons ,he says he does not!
Color now became a problem. He went on to lose a lot of state.Penna.,West Virginia, and others after that part of Obamas life was exposed..A colored man consorting with a colored racist!
It seems when people of color associate with people who use color to be divisive, promote hate, and really does nothing about it.Then that person is using color for an advantage. However, when it becomes a disadvantage, then its because of color. you can have it both ways it seems!
The implication is your a Racist!.In essence the reverse racism!
Its a dangerous game these people play.
More than color its really about character, honesty, conviction,l ove of country and just being a good American.
No candidate should have to go on for months telling us he is those things...Is not that something we almost take for granted, and is expected when a man wants to be President Of The United States Of America?
Is it because in his resume, these things are not strong, and he knows it.
Now for instance ,Gen.Collin Powell would never have to do that. Color is never a factor with great people! the General and many, many,African Americans, are qualified to be Pres. with no baggage,or excuses.
Why spend all that time and money? Is it to reinvent oneself?
What wrong with Obama being honest about his life? No mention as a Muslim youth in Indonesia",of a brother, grand ma,and family living in Kenya?
His he embarrassed ,for political reasons?
The picture of a family of color does not seem to be marketable now.
No ,its Obama ,a Kansas boy,in the land of OZ! with a white mother,a white grandma, a real Midwestern.
Its this farce of identity which makes a color blind person think of color!
Who really knows in the privacy of the voting booth how people vote. One group is certain however, colored people as one will vote for a person of color ,for that reason alone! color!...is not that Racism?

This guy must be delusional! Blacks vote for blacks whether they are competent or not, simply because they are black. I could give many examples but I'll start off with this one. Just look at the former Mayor Marion Berry. He was caught on tape smoking crack with hookers in a hotel room.

He left office in disgrace and I believe several months after ran for mayor again. Guess what? all the blacks voted him back into office. And would you believe he got caught in the same situation again!

Obama is not a leader for this country. Blacks will vote for him because he is black. Although he is only half black they view him as black.

The man is an American hating socialist and surrounds himself with black militants and white liberal American haters.

Obama is a phony and the simpleton black folks eat it up. He surrounds himself with a pastor for 20 yrs who hates America and white people. He sat in this pastor's church for twenty yrs, was married and had his kids baptised by his "spiritual leader" as Obama called him.

Obama, who's father was a Muslim, associates with American haters like Ayers and the moveon.org group run by George Soros. Obama believes in income redistribution. So if you work hard and make it on your own through hard work, perserverence and education he believes he should take a percentage of your money and give it to someone who didn't do as good as you.

Blacks and white liberals love that idea because it perpetuates a dependence on the government to give you entitlements at the expense of others.

He was voted THE most liberal senator. When it came time to vote on issues instead of voting "yes" or "no" he would say "present" this way he couldn't be tied down to one idea. Is that a leader?

As far as racism goes I've seen many more instances of racism by blacks against whites than then other way around.

Yes, there are whites that are racist, but it has nothing to do with the color of one's skin and everything to do with character, culture and values. You see most Americans dislike people who commit crimes whether they be black thugs or white trash. Unfortunately, blacks and white liberals hide behind words like "diversity" or "multi-culturalism" to excuse the crimes that minorities commit or use it against white males in a form of racism.

You really need to do something about your Bush derangement syndrome! I believe they now have medication for your problem. You probably haven’t heard yet so let me give you the news flash; Bush will not be running in November 2008 so what’s your point? A McCain administration, in your mind, will automatically have the exact same ideology as Bush? Right? I guess that means an Obama administration will be exactly the same as Carter? Right? How about that stellar job the House has been doing under Pelosi, Eh?? You are so blinded by your hatred of Bush that you cannot process a rational thought. You need to forget about Bush and focus your research on Obama! I have always been an independent and not all that wild about McCain, however compared to Obama he is the only logical choice. Sorry, Obama doesn’t have the resume to run anything!!!!!

No, after seven years of Bush, I can not see anything he has done for me, except made my life harder. While I agree Obama does not have a long resume, I ask what is in John McCain's that makes you want to vote for him. Let's see, bottom of his class at the Naval Academy, got a silver state while a POW for saying get me to a hospital and I will tell you what you want, member of the Keeting Five who took the most money, very interesting read on John in the book,"Pure Goldwater", has the wrong people around him, so why unless you make lots of money would you even want him any where near the White House?
