Feds Bust Valley Plot to Overthrow Government of Laos

Federal prosectors say a plot to overthrow the Laotian government was headed up by a retired military officer living in Woodland.

I understand why they plotted this. The Laos government has been killing many Hmong people in the mountain of Laos. The communist Lao have been treating the Hmong people inhumanly and deny everything. The Hmong people have been pleading for help with very little support. What can we the American Hmong do? We still have families in the mountain of Laos fearing and fleeing for their life during the Vietnam War till now. The Laos government will not cease fire on the Hmong people in Laos because they helped the American CIA during Vietnam War. I understand why these 10 Hmong men are plotting to overthrown the Laos government. The communist Laos government is being supported by Vietnam. Laos and Vietnam join forces to try to wipe out the Hmong civilians in the mountain including women and children. When will the American allies step in and help? The Vietnam War is still not over in Laos!!! I am trying to keep this very short.

Trying to over throw the Laosian government? That's one way to put if you want to. I think it's misleading to say they are trying to overthrow the government. They are trying to help the Hmong people who are still stuck in Laos defend themselves. Let me see, the US sent Lebanon weapons and money to aid them in war. Why can't we help our own kind.
I believe the United States of America should finish what they had started. They went to SouthEast Asia for no reason. The Domino Effect of Communisim did not happen as the Americans thought it would. They bailed out without taking full responsibility for those they got involved in the war.
They need to show the video of the Hmong tribes currently living in the jungle of Laos. They are daily being executed and annihilated as i type this comment. If the USA won't help, we must help our own kind. It's not something we should do. It's something the Hmong, as people, MUST do in order to survive.
Many said Iraq is going to be another Vietnam. I bet it will. Once the USA bails out of Iraq, the Iraqis involvled on the American side will slowly be annihalated by the other if order is not restored before the US bails.

Fool go look for yourself the majority of Hmong in Laos are living happily with other ethnics. And many Lao-Hmongs got to be high ranking officials. Many of Laos soldiers are included ethnic Hmongs as well so tell me how can it be GENOCIDE when the majority of your people are doing well. i believe their is a story behind the plot even if there is one. they are just trying to save the hmong people in that country. the one that the loas government is hiding and the cause from the united states during the vietname war. they asked for help from the hmong promising to protect them after the war and the promise broken when the war was done. half of the hmongs died fighting for the united states and still is being hunted in the jungles of laos today. the u.s. doesn't do anything to bring these people to safety. hmong (kids!) being raped and killed everyday they beg from help from the u.s. and still we can even give them safety a drop of water to drink a single once of food to eat. and yet you are trying to stop these mens from trying to help their own people out to safety. yes its wrong because the united states should be doing it and not these mens. there are videos out that the loas government denies, actual docamentry of hmong kids getting killed.

I understand Vang Pao and other's intentions. To be tried for life in prison is so harsh, especially since they served the war. Without them, Americans would have suffered more severally since fighting a war in the jungle is not their territory. I believe that Vang Pao and others were trying to overthrow the Lao Government, but what the Laos did was way harsher than what the Hmong or another American has ever endured. The Laos deny most of their actions against the Hmong people who are still living in the jungles of Laos. They live there without proper nutrition because of fear against the Lao communist. What do American’s expect? Lao is communism and will try to kill every root of Hmong down to the last descendent. The Lao government hates the Hmong for betraying them in order to aid the Americans. Now here, where the Hmong is trying to help each other because no one else will, whether it be far or near, they are still being persecuted for trying to do something right. Vang Pao and others along with the Hmong people are not terrorists; they are ordinarily citizens like you and me living paycheck to paycheck trying to make a living. Unlike us, the Hmong people in Laos live territory to territory, moving constantly in fear that the communist will come after them. Set the Hmong people free; free from communism; free from people like Saddam Hussein.

I think everyone needs to know the entire story before they jump to conclusions.... there is a Hmong Genocide by the Laotions going on right now in Laos.... The Hmong community has brought this issue in front of the UN and was turned away...
If anyone cares to know what is really going on, you should find the documentry "Hunted like Animals" by Rebecca Sommers.
It tells the story about what is really going on and why no one is helping... No one wants to talk about what's really going on... But if you're going to tell the story, you should tell the entire story....

I can't belive such High in Power men would do such things as big as this! But, with a plan this BIG they must have a very reasonable reason other then just Terroriostial Acts to over throw the Government of another country.

(the reason why these guys are doing this) Also you guys state as if these people are terrorist, the U.S. abandoned their allies to die for in laos, maybe the U.S. should look at itself first. And second, the U.S. violated the treaty first, (they recruited the Hmong to fight in Laos) and left them for dead, at least a leader still wants to get his men out.

Have you ever heard of Lao-hmong LPDR? Those are the one that live happily in Laos. Don't forget not all Hmongs joined US CIA to fight the Communist, some joined Laos Communist as well. Like I said before today you will see many Lao-hmongs working as high ranking Laos officials. Have you people ever heard of Pany Yatuoter. She is first woman Laos prime minister and she is Hmong ethnic. Again tell me where in the world you see Hmong woman working as prime minister. This is just one example. There are many Lao-hmong that working as high ranking Laos officials. If you don't know go check for yourself. Yes, there might be some missed treatment of jungle people but to called it GENOCIDE is wrong because many Lao-hmongs Communist lived happily in Laos.

Rather it is a terrorist plot or not, lets evaluate the situation. First of all, laos and USA are not friends; it's all image and publicity to fool the general public "PERIOD." Democracy and Communist will never allied "PERIOD." Like I was saying, I strongly believe the US government has no one to blame for "a mess they left behind," thus they point finger at Gen. Vang Pao and his followers so everyone could turn around and put the heat and view vang pao as a terrorist. Don't forget, Vang Pao and the Hmong along with other ethnic group such as the Mein were the backbone of America during the Vietnam War. As a Hmong, I could feel Vang Pao's anger towards all the lies and promises the CIA had given to the Hmong; therefore, I would have done the same thing to, to save my people. I believe we "Americans" will save America if we were governed by Commnism. Put it this way: IF THIS ACT OF VANG PAO AND HIS FOLLOWERS WAS TOWARDS THE MIDDLE EAST, I KNOW FOR SURE THAT THE US GOVERNMENT WILL NOT BUST THEM, HOWEVER DUE TO ALL THE HEATING DEBATE AND TOPICS THE HMONG ORPGANIZATIONS HAVE BEEN PRESENTING TO THE UN AND BUSH, THIS GOVERNMENT ALONG WITH THE MEDIA HAVE DECIDED TO PORTRAY GEN. VANG AS A TERRORIST. "PERIOD" Genghis Khan once said "If we don't unite we break apart as easy as an arrow; but if we shall unite togther, we will never be broken." My Hmong People, we must unite and help our own kind or else we will all die from tortures and lies. Let this tragedy be a lesson and an example for all of us, especially the thugs and gangsters.
