Now days we have txjp from Japan who is telling everyone that the Japanese people are the greatest in world, Perhaps txjp should read what his people committed in his name, and what nearly happen to Japan when America dropped the Atomic bombs. luckily it was only 2 A bombs America dropped on Japan instead of 8. The Japanese government to this day the never admitted of Causing any harm to any civilians or causing any wrong doings in time of WW2

Several Japanese politicians have apologised during visits to China and South Korea.

But since finno-ugric belong to proto-european dialects it is highly likely that your ancestors also spoke a dialect similar to finno-ugri. It can't be that hard if your ancestors spoke it.

The established members of this imperialist structure gain prestige when each new "colony" is added. Why else would they be so interested in the Balkans, the Baltics and even Georgia? In a word, conquest. Or empire. All of these countries prefer to be under this "empire" which respects human rights and will supposively protect them from others who may want to take this away. They are not completely sovereign in that they have to abide by some EU and NATO rules but these rules often involve having human rights and reducing corruption. All these countries except perhaps half of Serbia prefer this "empire" to being a colony of their former empires.

It is tru that russia is becaming stronger, because having a territory of 17.075.400 km2, a populatin of 143 million peoples and more than 1 trillion of dollars with a growing gdp( per year more than 5%) its obvious that russia will increase its economy, but other countries also like INDIA, BRAZIL, AUSTRALIA, MEXICO, PAKISTAN, ARABIA, INDONESIA, UNITED EMIRATS ARAB, AND KAZAKISTAN will be also the next superpowers of the world with G8 countries( like germany, usa, russia, france, canada, japan ,italy, and china). i think loking to statistic new powerful countries wont be only those today but in head will be china , usa, india, russia and arabia.

Alex wrote: <quoted text> It could be possible, Do you not feel that it is more difficult to learn a indo-european language like English or German instead of another finno-ugric language such as Hungarian or Finnish? Can't judge really. For an estonian, learning finnish comes naturally because those langages are so similar (so similar, that it actually disturbs to speak proper finnish). Hungarian seems quite different, but I haven't studied it. I know thet some primitive words are similar. And "kösönöm" ;-) I have studied and practiced english much more than german and probably for that reason english seems easier to me. I am actually quite lousy at learning "easy english/german/other language", I only became proficient when I passed a certain threshold of language complexity. It's like with small children - some start with single words and can tell a story with few words; some other kid is mute until suddenly starts speaking fluently. Actually, since indo-european languages displaced proto-european languages, and while doing so retained some proto-european language roots, that finno-ugric people are quite good at learning other languages. In the case of estonians on simplifying factor might also be the pronounciation of estonian language in general - there is no strong pronounciation, it is like "lazy pronounciation" - that makes it easy to acquire the pronounciation of a foreign language more easily because one does not have to forget their own.

Robespierre wrote: <quoted text> It's a matter of interest. Most established NATO members are wealthy countries that don't want to upset their trade by taking a political stance against Washington, or leaving NATO. Washington always makes sure NATO members close ranks by constantly breathing down their neck. Any move against NATO, or NATO's decision is usually followed by a cooling off of relations, subtle pressure applied diplomatically or even some obscure trade sanctions that don't immediatly appear. Ask France what were the consequences of leaving NATO in 1966, after having expelled the US bases previously. Ask Chirac what it cost France to speak against the Iraq invasion. US politicians organised a boycott of French goods, anti-French TV show and general demonisation of the country. Don't kid yourself, Washington wants to keep a firm grip on NATO and Europe and is ready to take what it takes to do it. France has never left Nato - sloppy with the facts again robbo... as always! Leaving the "integrated military command" is not the same as leaving Nato. http://www.nato.int/STRUCTUR/countries.htm http://www.nato.int/docu/update/60-69/1966e.h... http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/europe/06/17/fr...

Serbia desires the same thing Ukraine and Georgia do, integration into Europe. The EU is an economic benefit. On the other hand NATO is sort of a mafia protection racket. The two are not at all similar.

I may be wrong, if you could help me, or I guess I could look it up myself.

LOL Now that you mention it, it reminds me of Pauli in Goodfellas, when he was asked to take part ownership in a restaurant that was worried about being shaken down and ended up bankrupting it by selling its booze out the back door.

Serbs have never had the experience of being under the Russian bloody boot, so they trip over themselves with delusions that Russia is Serbia's protector or savior.

Russia is 'becoming stronger'..... however it is becoming stronger at the cost of the values that the people who overthrew the Communists wanted to be put in place. You know, those things like no imprisonment without a trial, no taxation without representation, etc.
They are devolving back to the Communist years, mainly because they were STUPID enough to elect Putin's ass into office.

I know what you meant, just nit-picking ;) Perhaps you failed to notice after the fall of the Warsaw Pact and the Soviet Union NATO lost its "raison d'etre" and adopted an extremist anti-Serb racism as their new one? When it is NATO's mission to destroy your small nation by smashing it apart into micro-states joining NATO is quite out of the question. Are you suggesting Serbian troops bomb Beograd themselves for NATO's amusement?
