The Chinese will extract valuable resources from africa using cheap labor and millions of dollars in payoffs to corrupt african leaders. The Chinese will have cheap labor and resources but 'if' the Africans are wise they will benefit much the same way that China benefited from America's use of cheap Chinese labor.

One thing I love about this whole global economy is that white America and the Europeans thought this would insure they dominance and hegemony over the darker peoples of the world, but the opposite is happening. The IMF, WTO and World Bank, all of which have had their foot on Africa and have directly and indirectly murdered the Africans are now seeing their demise.

Very true, but in the here and now is when and where it will count for your nation--from now until eternity. If your leaders take any kind of bribes which will make them very rich, while the Chinese or any others get just a little more here or there than they should, the Chinese will own those of your peoploe that sell out for money.

How many men do you know that are totally honest and that would not take a million dollar or more bribe?

China's interest in Africa isn't the problem. The problem is that the ways this could benefit both nations never trickle down to the laity. It is always stopped by corrupt African leaders who bleed the countries dry to foreigners and abuse their people.

America and all of Europe has always turned a blind eye to corrupt practices as long as those dictators gave them what they wanted. Furthermore, foreign nations also encouraged coups, warfare and assasinations of leaders who WERE trying to do good by their own country, in order to replace these leaders with assholes who'd continue to rape African nations for their own benefit...

With China's human rights record I don't see much changing in this pattern.

Once China owns you don't expect things to be as "kind" as under White Colonial rule. The Chinese are the most racist, nationalist and xenophobic people on the planet. If they knew they could get away with wiping you off this Earth, they would. Maybe you can sent Al Sharpton to negotiate though.

africans are not wise and they will sell their natural resources for pennies and be left with Chinese pollution. The Chinese will exploit africa to the max.
Europeans brought modernization, developed infrastructure, established education and written language, and left vast improvements behind in africa. It's up to africans to take advantage of these gifts from Europeans. More likely, they will sell their souls to the Chinese and regress right back to tribal warfare over who gets to kiss up most to the Chinese.

Not exactly true. We love to work, and would like give everyone a chance to work too. Racist? Yeah, to some extent, but then who isn't? Nationalistic for sure. We love our country. Definitely not xenophobic. There are about 60 different ethnic groups in my province alone

The west would do well to stay out of the Chinese's way on this one, they are our enemy and this is one situation that we don't have to involve ourselvs in.
If the Africans are not able to defend and protect their land and their way of life and then the Chinese will simply take what they desire, but of course The Holy Trinity of democracy (USA, Britian and the EU) will undoubtably try to deter the Chinese from doing so, just resulting in more economic and political strife.
