A book that I found haunting and probably marked me deeply, Arbitrageur.

I still feel rage at the idiocy of people who glibly drone on about 'nuking' anything.

I also enjoyed "A town like Alice", poignant stuff from Nevil Shute. Strangely, I've never read anything else by him.
