The ruling People's Progressive Party (PPP) has lauded the Joint Services in their recent success in eliminating Rondell ‘Fineman’ Rawlins and Jermaine ‘Skinny’ Charles.

In a statement, the party said it hoped that the achievement of the security forces would contribute to bringing closure for the family of their victims.

The PPP also noted its support for the work the security forces are currently engaged in to dismantle the infrastructure built by the bandits.

"This is also a great victory for the peace-loving people of Buxton whose village was held hostage by criminals," the party pointed out, and wished the Joint Services further success in their fight against crime.

Yes, the joint service do deserve to be thanked for the work they did, keeping things under control during the CARIFESTA and better yet killing out the treat that Guyana suffered from for far too long.

Good job!....keep it up

And i do know that the truth is hard to accept.

I am happy however, for any word of advice on how issues can be resolved or where more attention is needed. But do not try to say that this Govt. is not doing anything or have not done anything to ensure the safety of Guyanese.

For this yr alone, just look at how much money was invested in the police force to equip them efficiently for crime fighting…..only recently they were British police ranks down here carrying out training courses aiding our locals in crime fighting
