maybe we don't agree in many subject but this is true... till 1990, macedonians went in greece, since yugoslavs (including macedonians) had the money, and greece had the products. greeks simply didn't had the money to go to yugoslavia. many people here are nostalgic for that time, only because of the economic stability... He was a communist scholar, and contrary to your beleif, comunist stance was that macedonians are pure slavs. i guess that by this you are communist too :) nobody is saying that we don't have slavic part in us... but yet again, most of the greeks have either and just FIY, tito was an ally both to west and the east. yesterday i watched a documentary (it was quite stupid btw) but the main character was Macedonian that lives in Chicago. his parrenes moved in USA in 1956 from the vilage Buf (which god knows how you chage it) near Lerin. He was never in contact with comunist governments in Macedonia and Yugoslavia, and yet he is Macedonian. even so, he speaks on Macedonian with Lerin dialect. how did he become macedonian when he wasn't brainwashed (as you say) by communists and he is not communist himself (since most of the macedonians from aegeian macedonia that supported comunists in the civil war was expeled in 1949)? or maybe he was macedonian all the time, just the oppresors were diferent... When slavs came in macedonia they mixed with people that lived here. Today the language they speak is slavic, but that doesn't change the fact that they are decsendats of both slavic and ancient macedonian people. greece was created in 1830, latter it tried to present itself as a descendant of ancient greeks. Ethnicly you are mixture of ancient greeks, slavs, albanians, turks, and so on. Cultarally you are nothing like ancient greeks. After all, your independance started with mass murdering all the turkish and other muslim population (includind women and children) in the new independent greece.
