Prostitution has been around for a long time. I have been a trucker for twenty-two years and have seen hookers{we call them lot lizards}trade sex at truck stops for cases of meat,bicycles,furniture,applia nces,car tires and just about anything else hauled in the back of a semi-trailer.

Why the big deal over this. It's actually closer to a traditional marriage, and who could be offended by THAT!
There are a lot of women and some men who are trading sex for goods (and cash) all the time. Are THEY committing a crime? Prostitution is lawful and regulated in other countries where they know it can't be stopped. So, they are smart enough to make the best of it. By regulating it: you keep it in locations away from residences, you can monitor health, AND TAX IT for the greater good. It's not better than wiping it out (impossible), but at least they know it's better than wasting police and court's time and resources and costing taxpayers. We are pretty dumb here due to 400 years of Puritanism. Some may disagree, but you have to ask yourself, how much are we willing to spend on morality?

your right. traditional marriages are close to prostitution. man works his bloody a** off all week long so the wife can have free rent, board, food and cable all day long. usually though the sex is lacking anyway so the guy just dies of an early heart attack from working 3 jobs to support a wife and the three kids he believes were accidents.he got screwed big time.

I see you have a Mrs. in your screen name. Are you speaking from experience? Is this how your marriage is working out for you? Most women that are stay at home wifes work damm hard for what you call free rent, board and food. You sound pretty bitter, so I guess things did not turn out very well for you.
